About PODEK
PODEK is a Danish family-owned company with roots in the construction industry and a focus on developing functional products and specialised solutions.
Since 2000, PODEK has developed and manufactured quality tools and specialised products for processing aerated concrete. In 2026, the company expanded into a new business area within the equestrian industry, where PODEK develops practical solutions for stables and indoor arenas.

Who are we?
The story of PODEK dates back to 1987, when Knud Laudal founded Ytong Montage and began working with the installation and processing of aerated concrete.
The need for better and more manageable tools quickly led to the development of our own solutions, and in 2000 Knud Laudal and Ejvind Hasselstrøm founded PODEK ApS.
From the outset, the company focused on developing and manufacturing quality tools, saws and specialised products for aerated concrete.
Since 2007, Ejvind Hasselstrøm has been at the helm of the company, and in 2021 the next generation joined the ownership group when Ejvind’s three children Freja, Daniel and Anne Mette acquired shares in PODEK.
This has helped create the foundation for the company’s continued development and new business areas.
Construction – our foundation
For more than 25 years, PODEK has built up extensive specialist knowledge of tools and solutions for processing aerated concrete.
We develop and manufacture, among other things, saws, tools and specialised products for bricklayers, installers and companies in the construction industry.
Our products are developed with a focus on functionality, reliability and making work easier and more efficient for the end user.
PODEK also manufactures specialised aerated concrete solutions, including curved blocks in both standard and custom dimensions.
Equestrian – a new PODEK universe
In 2026, PODEK brought its experience in product development and practical solutions into an entirely new industry.
PODEK’s equestrian universe was created with a focus on products for stables and indoor arenas, where functionality, quality and an easier everyday routine are at the heart of the concept.
The first products include Merkur and Jovian, which are designed to make daily handling in the stable/indoor arena easier and more efficient.
The equestrian business area is new in PODEK’s history, but the approach is the same as in the construction industry:
We identify a practical problem – and develop a solution that works in everyday life.
Manufacturer and product developer
A major part of PODEK’s strength is that we handle the development, production and continuous improvement of our products ourselves.
We place great emphasis on understanding the real-world conditions in which our products must function. This means development starts with the people who use the solutions in practice – whether it is the tradesperson on the construction site or the daily user in the stable.
With development, production and warehousing in Central Jutland, we can quickly turn ideas into tangible products and continuously improve our solutions.
A family business in development
Today, PODEK is a family business spanning generations.
Ejvind Hasselstrøm has led the company for many years, and since 2021 the next generation has been part of the ownership group.
This enables PODEK to build on many years of experience while also developing the company in new directions.
The construction industry is our foundation.
The equestrian industry is our newest business area.
